Current public acitivities

The final meeting of the Research Association took place from 13–15 March 2013 at the Leibniz University of Hannover. Further information you will find in the programme.

On 16 November 2012, a core group of the Research Association hold a meeting to specifically considerations according to the continuation of the Research Association.

In November 2012 the book "Beobachtung kindlicher Selbstbildungsprozesse", which includes the presentation of the research method and final results of the project "Interpretative competences of the self-educational process of children", was published.

From 23.-27. September 2012, the 48thConference of the DGfPs (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie) [German Society for Psychological Research] took place in Bielefeld. Within this conference, 3 projects of the Research Association organized the symposium on ‘Development and Training of Pre-Academic Skills’.

On 14 September 2012, the Research Association had its twelfth meeting at the University of Hildesheim.

On 8 Juni 2012, the Research Association had its eleventh meeting at the University of Hildesheim.

On 4 May 2012, the Research Association had its tenth meeting at the University of Hildesheim.

On 16 March 2012, the Research Association had its nighth meeting at the University of Hildesheim.

From 12–14 March 2012 the 23rd Congress of the DGfE (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaft) [German Society for Educational Research] took place in Osnabrück. In the framework of this congress, projects of the Research Association offered the working group ‘Education – School Readiness?’

On 4 November 2011, the Research Association had its eighth meeting at the University of Hildesheim.

On 10.-11. March 2011, the Research Association had its seventh meeting in Bad Bevensen.

On 22 February 2011, the Research Association has been assessed at the University of Hannover.

On 26 November 2010, the cluster "Profession and professionalization" will hold the third event of the Research Associations lecture series in Hildesheim.

On 27 August 2010, the sixth meeting af the Research Association took place at the University of Hildesheim.

On 25 June 2010, the fifth meeting of the Research Association took place in Hildesheim.

On 11 June 2010, the cluster "Diversity" hold the second event of the Research Associations lecture series in the Leibnizhaus in Hannover. Guest lecturer Prof. Dr. Lilian Fried (University of Dortmund) spoke about "Diversity vs. simple-mindedness - perspectives on early childhood education". Afterwards, representatives of science, education policy and practitioners had a lively discussion about the topic. Here you can find pictures of the event.

On 7 May 2010, the second colloquium for the ph.d students working in the projects took place at the University of Hannover.

On 11 March 2010 and 12 March 2010, the cluster "The acquisition of preschool competencies" hold the first event of the Associations lecture series in Lüneburg. Guest lecturer Prof. Dr. Bettina Janke (PH Heidelberg) gave a public speech about the emotional development between age 4 and 7 at the adult education center Lüneburg. This event was organized in cooperation with nifbe Regionalbüro Nordost. On 12 March 2010, Prof. Dr. Bettina Janke and guest lecturer Prof. Dr. Claudia Roebers (University of Bern) ran a workshop at the University of Lüneburg. Here you can find pictures of the event.

On 19 February 2010, the first colloquium for the ph.d students working in the projects of the Research Association took place at the University of Hannover.

On 4 December 2009, the fourth meeting of the Research Association tool place at the University of Hildesheim. We planned future common activities. In 2010 and 2011, the Research Association plans to adress the academic public and practitioners with several arrangements in Lower Saxony.

On 2 October 2009, the research cluster "Profession and Professionalization" invites everyone who is interested in the topic to an interdisciplinary expert hearing at the cultural center "Pavillon" in Hannover. Acknowledged experts will be discussing the current material and the preliminary results of the research projects "Professional monitoring of learning and educational processes in day-care centers" and "Interpretative competences of the self-educational process of children". On 25 September 2009, the research cluster "profession and professionalization" formed a working group on "monitoring and documentation of children´s activities as a professional challenge in day-care centers. Theoretical positions and empirical research" at the 7th National Congress on Social Work in Dortmund. Peter Cloos and Marc Schulz supervised the working group. The research cluster "the acquisition of preschool competencies" formed a working group at the Developmental Psychology Conference of the German Psychological Society. The conference took place at the University of Hildesheim on 14 to 16 September 2009. The working group presented the first results of their research activities. Prof. Arnold Lohaus was the debater.

On 3 July 2009, the third meeting of the Research Association took place at the University of Hildesheim. The discussions about interdisciplinary topics continued and were prepared by the research cluster "diversity". Afterwards, the members of the Research Association decided to organize a conference at the end of the projects´duration, and discussed further common activities.

On 23 March 2009, the second meeting of the Research Association took place at the University of Hildesheim. The coordination office organized the meeting. The members of the Research Association started discussions about interdisciplinary topics. The research clusters "the acquisition of preschool competencies" and "profession and professionalization" prepared the discussion.
